I'm dreaming of a white Christmas was a reality here in Fort Wayne this year as we had a full gamut of weather this past week or so including Christmas day. It started out with snow then freezing rain then colder than normal temps then more freezing rain lots of it with wind coating everything with an inch or so of ice, then snow , sleet, thunder, lightning, warner temps, lots of rain melting all the ice and snow. Today it was cold and windy again.

We had a Christmas brunch with mom Wesche, Mike, Heidi, Katrina and Izzy, it was nice.

Yesterday we went to a wedding and reception of a relative of Annette's over in Ohio, it was lots of fun we even danced one slow dance together. Than we drove home in the rain and fog.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, Thanks Audra for the pictures and Christmas letter, it would be real nice if we could get more of you to write on a regular basses.

Between camping trips, hunting adventures, the Elders quorum presidency and his job as the Sales Manager at Yost Aaron kept busy this year. Porter adores his dad and loves to wrestle and feed the dog with him every night.

We feel very blessed that Audra has the opportunity to stay home with Porter, a job she absolutely loves! Last year she started designing graphics for digital scrapbooking and was hired this year to design for an online store. That and Porter have kept her busy but she also found time for lots of canning and her church callings doing the ward bulletin, newsletters and ward website.

Porter has grown so much the year & it has been so much fun to watch him learn and all those fun ‘firsts’. He is a very loving child and more than happy to give out kisses and loves. He loves being outside and adores our cat whom he calls “ickles” He loves to cuddle up on a your lap with a book playing fetch with the dog, and hauling his toys around in his ‘CAT’ dump truck. Porter is definitely the light of our lives & always keeps us busy & smiling

Dear Family; Well here we are right in the middle of the Christmas season isn't it great! Annette has the house all decorated, candle lights in most of the windows, tree is up and decorated standing on the sofa table in the bay windows, it's lovely. Mike, Heidi, Katrina and Izzy were over on Saturday to spend some time with us. Katrina was a great help to grandma in decorating. Mike, Heidi and Izzy are in Kansas City for three weeks or so for a job Mike is doing there. We miss them but they call frequently so talk with them and get to talk to Izzy and hear her cute noises. Their cat, Winkee is staying with us till they get back, she has stayed with us before, but this time she is much more sociable. My hope is that more of you will write on a regular basis, that's how we will get to know each other better and grow closer, so please write, thanks. Thanks Geno for your e-mail last week, and yours to Dena, they were both appreciated and enjoyed. Geno I will get you June's phone # and address, you will enjoy her and she you and your family. Hi Family, We had a great Turkey Day! My wife's Mother and Father ( Lori & Wayne Hubbard) came to Casper to have Turkey Day with us.We also went out to see what "Black Friday" was all about and it was crazy. I think we will try it again. Carissa and Lori had fun they went crazy I never have seen them get up at 4am. It was quite a scene. To top off the day the Mighty HuSkerS... had some BUFFALO for Turkey Day! YUM. I enjoyed it....was a little scared for a min...but the 57 yard Field goal made everything A..OK! I love the feeling I get when I watch the Huskers win. I truly bleed RED blood....Husker RED blood. Now for some other business. I have decided to leave my place of employment and go to work for a place called Halliburton's. I did work at Stewart & Stevenson LLC in the Parts Department. Welcome Shelly I'm thankful to hear from you, you have beautiful children and grandchildren, thanks for the pictures, now how about one of you. Please invite your sisters to join us.
I hope we will keep reaching out to our other family members so they will join us also.

Hope you all had a good thanksgiving, we did. Our week went something like this, Sunday we attended church, Annette played the organ for Sacrament meeting, interpreted for the deaf and helped with young woman's organization, I teach gospel doctrine class and attended Sacrament and priesthood meeting.
I like to Position myself near the entrance to the chapel so I can welcome as many people as possible by shaking their hands as they come into the chapel, I especially enjoy shaking hands with the children and teenagers, many of them now make it a point to come shake my hand every Sunday and are disappointed if I'm not there.
Monday we served at the library for 10 hours scanning family history books and preparing them to be put online for genealogy research.
Tuesday we were at home, I caught up on some things on the Internet and Annette baked pies, cake, fudge, and bread in preparation for thanksgiving. Wednesday, 8 hours at the library.
Thanksgiving day we spent at Annette's mothers home here in Fort Wayne with her sister , Beth, friend , Nena, brother John, and his two children Rose and Ben. Had a wonderful turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and good company.

Friday Annette, Heidi, our daughter, and granddaughters Katrina and Izzy went shopping on what they were calling "Black Friday" and upon coming home said, "That was fun but we"re not doing that again"
Saturday was Annette's Aunt Bearny's 70 birthday, her kids, all grown, had a party for her so we spent part of that day with more family. Wonderful week.

What did you all do for Thanksgiving? We all need to open up and communicate more freely, that what I'm encouraging each of you to do!

I have a wonderful screensaver program, free, called second nature that I can add my own pictures to so I want to do a family one with all your pictures so I'm collecting.

Dear Family,

As I was sitting here pondering Thanksgiving and what I am personally thankful for, I came across this video http://www.blessyoumovie.com/ ... and I realized how thankful I truly am for my family. Not only those who I see every day but all of my family back through my ancestors.. and of course, all of you. I thought about family that has past before us, who tried to lead us in many different ways... some more profound than others. I thought about opportunities that have come and gone and also about opportunities in the future.
I don't want to let this opportunity pass without telling you all how much I love and appreciate you. Thank you for enduring through your trials and for being the examples that you are. Thank you for never giving up.

Dear Family; Let's start by saying I enjoyed Annette's introduction last week even thou she took advantage of my falling asleep as I was writting the family e-mail, but there is one part I would like to tell differently, that is she sit on my lap to get my attention , ha, ha, no really we probably both saw an empty chair and headed for it only I was faster because I got there first as she sit on my lap by her own admission. This is fun! Anyway the end results are the same and we're both happy with that. Dena We enjoyed the Halloween pictures, what great Halloween art, don't know that I've have recognized Dick if I seen him on the street. Looks like you had a fun Halloween. This is a photograph of my oldest son Frank and his wife Kristi in their natural habitat in Idaho where they run a rental business renting snow mobiles in the winter and jet skies, four wheelers and the likes in the summer. They have a son Kasey 12 years old and a daughter Ashley who graduated from high school two years ago. I was hoping he would introduce himself, maybe he will after this poor job I did not having any recent photos. I've got a reloader I would like to give him if we can find a way to get it to him. This first photo is of my beautiful Annette doing one of her favorite things! We could title it Annette and her piano. This is what she looked like when she wrote the introduction today.

This is of my hand with my wedding and family rings isn't that neat, cool, or maybe awesome is the word.

When I look at the rings on my hand I think of my family, all of you, even those we are not reaching yet.

Annette Colgrove Introduction Continued

There are so many of you I haven't met yet, so I thought I'd take advantage of Bill napping to tell a little about me/us. We met at a singles' conference June 1991. He was living in Heppner, OR at that time, and I was living in Moscow, ID with my four children then. My children are: Heather (married to Chris R, and they have 2 boys with a girl due in January, and in the process of moving to Hawaii), Holly (married to Robert G, has 2 boys, 2 girls, and they live happily in California), Heidi (married to Mike A, with one girl, Izabella, but we call her Izzy, lives here in, IN about 10 miles from us), and Philip (married to Heather, they are both students at BYU-Idaho and twitter-pated as can be). So, at this singles' conference, the first night was table games and active games. We played one that involved rotating to other chairs in a circle, and as I sat on one, he slid under me faster than a whipped whip. He may have been faster than me physically, but I left him speechless a time or two with my unique perspectives. The second day of the conference, we triple-dated into the nearby town to do the tourist thing, and he had the nerve to hold my hand. It made me nervous, but it felt good, too. The third day was testimony-sacrament meeting, followed by a brunch, then the drive back home. I rode with him part way until our roads split into two different directions, and my friends followed in my car to that same point. We talked for quite a while longer. Then I felt a pair of hands literally push me toward him. I turned around to see who that was, and no one was there! but I sure found myself wrapped in hug that felt like home. I was stunned. Once we parted, I prayed while I was driving my friends and myself home, and asked Heavenly Father if "Bill" was my eternal mate. The answer was the strongest "YES" I'd ever received. The Spirit was so strong, I started crying and could hardly see the road. The Spirit was so strong, my friends started crying and didn't know why. The Spirit was so strong, one friend asked, "Is THAT the Holy Spirit?" She had never felt anything like that before!

When we got home, I told my kids I had met my eternal companion over the weekend, and I didn't even know his last name! The next day, Monday, he called me in the evening. I learned his last name, and when I asked how to spell that -- you know him -- he said "T-H-A-T." We talked for 3 hours, and it never showed up on his phone bill. We made plans of when we'd get together again, made arrangements for a date to the temple, and to make a long story short, that ended up being the day we were sealed to each other in the Seattle Temple, 6 weeks after we met. And the rest is history, and it's been the happiest 17+ years of my life.

I loving being his wife, love being a mother and grandmother, and love that we share a testimony of our Savior, not necessarily in that order. I also love to do art work. I have a small collection of canvases I've done, and quite a few rooms in several homes with my murals, and stacks of sketches and pencil drawings. I also love playing and teaching violin and piano. At church I play organ 4th and 5th Sundays, interpret for the deaf the other Sundays, am the second counselor in Young Women, am serving a mission with Bill digitizing Family History Books and Local History Books to put online (I believe he's already given you'all the site). In my spare time, I like to... I'll have to let you know when I have spare time. Just kidding. I enjoy sewing, needlework, reading, baking, and yard work if it's not too cold outside.

I've also enjoyed reading all the emails that have come in from some of you. Yes, my son Philip, I read yours, but that doesn't count as a call home! Glad you're happy, though.

Now, Bill is napping in his chair at his computer. He has this cute little butler that comes out with his nose in the air when an email comes and says in his supersilious tone, "Sir, you've got mail." He should make his appearance as soon as I hit the "send" button. Maybe I better turn his volume up before hitting "send." I wonder if it will wake him up. Nice to meet you'all!

Hello,

How is everyone doing, I hope Great! I have attached some pictures of me and the kids. These are from earlier in the year. (I love to hunt.) I have found out that Wyoming is an awesome state to hunt in. I never hunted big game until I moved here. I was a bird hunter. NOT anymore....hehehe.
I took a week vacation and went to Omaha, NE. to visit Shelly and her kids and Grand kids. I had a good time. I took Shelly and her second oldest Son (Johnny) to there very 1st HUSKER game, we had an awesome good time. The HUSKERS beat the Jayhawks 45 to 35 although it was not as close as the score show. We still had a great time together. I have been to many husker football games and that one was my favorite one by far! Thanks Marjie for bailing us out! (she knows). Don't worry we didn't get into to much trouble. I just had a hard time reading and parked in a bad spot. It is all good now!
We are getting ready for WINTER here, it is not the most pleasant place to live in the winter time the WIND drives you crazy it never stops blowing...No REALLY it never stops!
But I guess the nice summers make up for it. I don't think it even got over 100 degrees one day last summer, that is nice. Well enough of my rambling. I'll drop a line or two again soon. I think the rings are a great Idea, I look a little bit on line. I know I would wear one for sure!!

Wyl & Annette; Cape Cod Trip

Dear Family;

We had a wonderful time last week on our trip to Cape Cod to see Chris , Heather, Silas and Zeke Rauch

This is a photo of Heather, Heidi, Silas, Zeke, and Izzy taken at the YMCA all three children really enjoy the water. Heather is Annette's oldest Daughter, Heidi the youngest. Silas, (4)and Zeke, (2) are heather and Chris's boys, our grand kids.

It was Halloween weekend so we went to a Halloween party put on by the library there in Cape Cod with a live band called the Toe Jam puppet band, what fun and they did shadow puppets and kids music and fun activities Silas and Zeke went in costume of course. All dressed up for trick or treat.

The Rouchs are moving to Hawaii the end of November so are going to be out of touch and very busy so have ask we not include them in our e-maling for now.

We traveled with Heidi and Izzy in their van stopping in Hartford Connecticut where Mike is working out of town so his wife and daughter could have a little time together.

On our way over and back we went through Worwick, RI. where our ancestor came over here in 1667 from Wales, Francis Colegrove.

I think Marje is the first to report on her family ring, that's great Marje, I'm going with a silver ring with a note tied on top to signify being tied to my family and ware it on my left hand closest to my heart.

Philip and Heather Freeman Introduction

Hi everyone,

Sorry to wait so long to write our email, but we are Philip and Heather Freeman, Wyl and Annette's son and daughter-in-law. We've been married for 4 months, and we're loving every minute of it :) We were married in Orlando, FL. Philip is 24 and he's from Fort Wayne, IN, and Heather is 20 and she's from Tallahassee, FL. We met in a class we had together at BYU-Idaho, which is where we are both still students at right now. Philip's a sophomore studying health care administration, and Heather is a sophomore, also, in elementary education. We love being in Rexburg, and its actually snowed the past couple nights, which has been fun at times, a pain at others, lol. We have a blog that we post pictures on weekly. Dick & Dena Re Traditions & Family Questions

Hey everyone!

Once again... I am doing a research project and would like to ask for any and all help I can get. I am attaching a set of questions that I'm asking each of you to take a little bit of time to cut and paste to "new" email and then answer each before sending. This project is completely anonymous and will never have your name attached to it. Only you and I will know your answers and it is strictly for a lifespan research project. Jim and/or Vaunda, I would truly like it if you would ask Grandpa these questions and also answer them for yourselves. I know these are slightly time consuming... shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes... and they might stir some memories that you thought were long forgotten. The answers from Grandpa will be a treasure for all of us and I would like to share only his if it is ok with him. Bill, the ring idea is a grand idea and I'm sure everyone here will wear theirs proudly. I'm sure for now our rings might come out of a quarter machine at Smith's... but the thought will be genuine.

We (Dick and I) are desperately in need of a vacation or at least a date with each other. One of these days we'll have to pamper each other with a candle lit dinner for two... for now we'll have to stick to the walks around the block.. they're cheaper but just as important and heart felt.

School has me by the nape of my neck and I am feeling an incredible amount of anxiety with projects due and tests to study for. The hard part is getting the family to cooperate by being quiet so I can study. I think they miss their mommy. I miss them too.

Hello Everyone! I’ve been enjoying reading everyone’s introductions as they’ve been posted – who would have figured that I have so much family out there? Thank you Wyl for taking this on and reaching out to everyone!

My name is Linda Howard and I am the second youngest of Larry and Katharina’s kids. My siblings are Barbara, Ilona, Von Emma, Larry andCathy.

I am married to Robert and we have two children, Canyon, almost 14, and Savannah, 11. Robert and I met at Texas A&M in geology class(that explains our children’s names) and eloped on the fourth anniversary of our first date. We’ve been married for 19 years. We’ve livedseveral years in both Houston and Ft. Worth and have just recently moved to Arizona. We are still getting used to the heat and the desert environment and critters, but I think we are really going to like it here.

I am a stay-at-home mom and have spent a lot of my time volunteering in my children’s activities from leading Girl Scout troops,coaching soccer, to PTA president. I am not sure there has been a volunteer job I’ve managed to say “no” to yet. My daughter,Savannah, having practically danced out of the womb, is currently in an intensive ballet program after school while Canyon,my laid back one, is well, laying back for now but will be trying out for the basketball team soon. Robert owns and runs an outdoorfurniture company that lets him still have time for family, golf and hiking with me when we can.

Chelsea & Justin Johnson Introduction

Hi all, Im Chelsea (Colgrove) Johnson. Jim and Vaunda Colgroves 2nd child. I was born April 30th 1982. (The best day of my parents life I am sure :) I met my husband in eighth grade. We have been best friends ever since. We were married in Idaho Falls Aug 9th 2002. Since weve been married we have lived in Moscow-Idaho, Kenwick-Washington, Princeton-New Jersey, Dearborn-Michigan Toronto-Canada, and this summer we moved back home. Kamden Jade Johnson was born June 13th 2005 while we lived in Princeton New Jersey. Our second son Karson was born in Michigan on June 30th 2007. We have really enjoyed being back home and around family.

Justin Johnson: Born August 24,1982. He has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and is currently working at a company in Blackfoot Idaho called Premier Technology as an Engineer. He loves almost anything outdoors. His latest interest include, rock climbing, golfing, and frisbee golf. He loves to cook, and is really good at it. (I know lucky me hu.)

Both I and Aaron grew up in this area- . We had common friends and acquaintances but never met in high school. After highschool Aaron went to a year of college at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls and then on an LDS mission to San Fernando, California. I went to Ricks College where I graduated with a degree in International Studies with an emphasis in the Middle East (let me tell you what a useful degree that is to me now... lol).

We met through a common friend early in 2000 and were married and sealed in the Idaho Falls temple on July 15th, 2000. It was a short courtship and engagement which I think surprised a lot of people (namely my mother) but we knew we were meant to be together. Shortly after we were married Aaron started working at Yost (with my Dad) as a Salesman two years ago he became Salesmanager. When When Porter was born I was working as a Loan Officer but was lucky enough to get to quit to be a Stay at Home Mom which I absolutely love!! Recently this summer I was hired by an online scrapbook store to design digital kits for them.

Our little Porter is the light of our lives- it took us almost 7 years to get him here and now we can't imagine life without him! He is a sweet little guy with an outgoing and very determined personality. He loves the outdoors, his cat "Ickle" and playing with cousins Kamden and Karson (Chelsea's kids).

Our family loves to camp and tries to go several times each summer. I love to scrapbook, sew, and read. Aaron likes to hunt and is off chasing elk and deer even as I write this. I and Aaron are also on the committee for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. We are lucky to be in the same ward as my parents, Aaron is a counselor in the Elders Quorum and I am over the ward bulletins, newsletters, and website.

We're heading out to Cape Cod next Tuesday with Heidi and Izzy to see Chris and Heather and Silas and Zeke before they move to Hawaii. On the way we are stopping in Connecticut where Mike is working. We'll be back the following Tuesday. Let's start a new tradition. Let's call it family ring. Here how I see it, The family ring could be plane ring like a wedding band or it could have something on it like C for Colgrove. This ring would be worn on the index finger of ether hand, the strongest finger, i.e. The strength of a nation is in it's families, the strength of a family is in it's closeness. So are we up to the challenge, can we start a tradition in our family and spread it to other families and start a new social tradition? How do we go about it? First we each get a ring for our index finger, when we look at it it makes us think of our family. When someone ask about it we explain that it's a family ring, then we can tell them about our family ties. This would be fun, walk into a jewelry store and ask if hays have any family rings. Then we would tell them it's significants and suggest they carry some in their store. Sounds like fun to me, how about you? Cathy & Sons Introduction

Hi Everyone,

I met some of you many years ago when I went to a family reunion in Wyoming in the 1980's. I am the youngest daughter of Larry Colgrove. My dad passed away five years ago and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. I really miss my dad.

I live in Leander, TX which is about 20-25 minutes outside of Austin. I am divorced and have three boys Colin Lucas (17); Spencer Richarte (14) and Nicholas Richarte (14). Colin's girlfriend, Blanca, also lives with us. Colin works at Double Dave's Pizza and Blanca works at Willy O's (burger place). I am currently looking for a new job as I was recently laid off from my job as an office manager in a real estate office. Spencer is a freshman in high school and Nicholas is a 7th grader in middle school. Nicholas plays football. Spencer plays a lot of X-Box.

I am attaching some pictures of the boys & Blanca. N ick and Spencer have cut their hair to normal lengths since this picture was taken. Hope to hear from everyone soon. I am enjoying the emails and connecting with family.

Annette Colgrove Re: Introduction week.

Howdy Ya'll,

I thought I'd add my ditto. Life is good. I marvel at the blessings I have received from the Lord - a story-book marriage, wonderful children (all of them), and equally wonderful grandchildren (all of them). When Bill tells "our" story, I'll be sure to put in my 2-cents worth, to make sure the story gets told right (just kidding). We have a lot of fun together, and every day together is a blessing.

Today we were at the library for 11 1/2 hours doing our missionary-digital processing. It's the only job I've ever had where the pay and time spent there didn't matter. We barely take time for lunch, and we don't take any other breaks in the day. It feels like time flies when we're doing what we know is important to the Lord. The pay will be spiritual, since there is no monetary reward in this.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Heidi & Mike Anderson Introduction

Sorry I'm a bit behind on this...

Ok to give you a rundown of me and mine. I am Heidi Freeman Colgrove Anderson born Aug 6 1981 in Sacramento, CA. Step daughter to William Colgrove and daughter to Annette Colgrove. I was married on Nov 8 2000 in the Chicago LDS temple to Mike Anderson who was born Feb 8 1976 in Fort Wayne, IN. Mike has a daughter named Katrina who will be 13 in Dec. A Teenager! We have her every other weekend. We have a brand new daughter born to us Aug 20 2008. We have waited a LONG time getting through medical problems to have this amazing child in our lives. Her name is Izabella Mae. She already gives us lots of smiles and has blessed us with laughs as well. She also surprised herself and me by rolling over last week. We also have a one eyed black cat named Winkee. She's not quite used to having a baby in the house but is adjusting slowly to it.

Mike and I met through church at a singles break-the-fast. It was odd because we had both been in singles a while but our work schedules never coincided very well. So I was at activities while he was at work and vice versa. So the break-the-fast was the ice breaker for us as he invited me to play cards with him and his friends. Then 6 months later we got married.

At church Mike is the assistant ward mission leader. I am the choir pianist and young women secretary. As for work, Mike is a low-voltage technician. (installs security systems, phone systems, audio/video data, and nurse call systems) I am a piano teacher with 3 students and full time Mommy.

We are part of a middle ages reenactment group called the Society of Creative Anachronism. So we go to a lot of events. We especially like the camping events.

Mike's hobbies are sword fighting, recreating Russian clothing from 1400 AD, building computers, and computer gaming. My hobbies are recreating clothing from Germany 1300 AD, other sewing, jewelry making, and piano.

Okay, I've babble on enough for now. Look forward getting to know all of you!

Dick and Dena Colgrove Introduction

Hey everyone!

Just want to say a quick hello and let you know that I've enjoyed reading the emails that have been coming in. Audra, your son is very handsome. Thanks for sharing with us.

Our story? It's a long one. I wouldn't even know where to start. What keeps us going? The grace of God... beyond a doubt. Many people thought we Richard and I wouldn't last... in fact I'm sure a few lost their bets a loooong time ago. We just keep loving eachother and believing.. regardless of anything that may or may not be going on in our lives. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other... and believing everything will be alright.

The kids keep us going, too. Lucas is 14, Ashlyn is 12, Julienn is 9, and Robert is 3. Richard has a son from his first marriage who we've enjoyed getting to know, as well. Steven is 35. I'd like to invite him to be a part of these emails, too, if it's ok with everyone.

I'll write more at another time when I'm more in the mood to elaborate.

Gene & Carissa Colgrove Introduction week.

Hello Everyone,

I'm glad you started this Wyl. I can't wait to get to know my family better.

Ok I'm Gene Roger Goodon Colgrove and it depends on who you are in where I fall in the order of my dad's kids. I just know I'm one of them. My dad's name was Roger Gene Colgrove better know as "Gene" which some of you might only know him as that. Heck I didn't know his real name until I was 10yrs old.

We have lived here for 5 years. We love it here and hate the winters here. Make any cents ? Well neither does the weather here. ? It snowed all weekend and next week it is going to be fall again. It is pretty cool....NOT.. We love the outdoors, you can experience here. It is just too short of a summer!.... (more later)

I have two kids Marissa Gene Colgrove Age 12 born Dec.6,1995 and Tristan Wayne Colgrove Age 5 born Dec. 20,2001 Marissa is a 7th grader. She enjoys Soccer and Volleyball. She gets "A's" and "B's" in school, she is a good person. She is quiet and shy. And don't say much. Now Tristan is a 1st grader. He also plays soccer but don't care if he wins or loses, he does not have a competitive bone in his body. He also plays football but you have to beg him to go most of the time. He also does good in school. He loves the Science Zone and the Nic Museum. He loves to go hunting with me.....(well save some more for later)

Carissa Dawn Hubbard Colgrove is my wife of 13yrs. We dated 3 years before we got married. We met in High School. She went to Mitchell High I went to Gering, but we lived right across the street from each other. She is a PA-C which is a Physician Assistant Certified. Board Certified Nationally. She is the Medical Director at Urgent Care Now here in Casper Wy....(more to come later)

Back to me! I work at Stewart & Stevenson LLC. I work in the Parts Department/warehouse

I like my job but I hate it too. I like it because it is easy and fun. I don't like it because it is work.HA-HA (lazy I guess). I enjoy hunting and coaching soccer. Oh ya...and always HUSKER football even know they are having hard times.....It is in the blood as for most of you know. oh I forgot Carissa birthday is Sept.17,1975. mine is Sept.1,1974. I turned 34yrs old this year. I'm going to save more for later...there is so much more but you will have to wait for the weeks to come.

My Dear Family;

I am calling this introduction week, this week the request is to give a basic introduction of who we are and what relationship we have to the people in last weeks photograph, each of you may take that to what ever extent you would like, The invitation is to write at least once a week, mine will usually be on Sunday. It not so important how much or what we write as it is that we e-mail frequently. Included in this mailing will be the names a e-mail address of all who responded to last weeks mailing in the affirmative, please

Continue to invite all of our family members to join us, if you would like my help in doing so please let me know. Then I would like to share briefly my vision on where this is going.

I am reaching out to each of you in love there are no alterer motives in what I'm doing, realizing that we each see things differently weather it be politics or religion or anything else, I love you for who you are and always will please do the same for me, but I will openly say what makes my life happy, what fuels my life and hope all of you will do the same. Having said that let's get on with it.

This picture is from a Christmas card we did two or three years ago. My Wife's Name is Annette Marie Colgrove, she goes by Annette, My name is William Franklin Colgrove, I go by Wyl by choice. She is the oldest of her siblings, birthday June 14 1951. Second is my spot in the birth order, birthday Feb. 9, 1942.

At present we are empty nesters as all of our seven children have their own homes, she has 4, three daughters and a son, I have 3, two sons and a daughter , Their names are Heather, Holly, Heidi and Philip. Mine are Frank, George, and Heather. More on them at another time. I am retired. Annette is a music teacher by profession, teaching private lessons on violin and piano. We are serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints digitalizing family History books at the Allen County Library that are placed on line for family history research. We are basically in good health with the exception of my spinal cord injury which is disabling. All of these things we will expand on as we further explore our lives with each other.

Now To the vision part. I can see us growing closer as a family, growing in love and understanding of each other, drawing in all of our other family members into the family circle. Visiting the graves of the three that have departed from us. Having family reunions, they could be held in Texas, Idaho, Nebraska, Florida or even Hawaii, any place we have family members. That's a big vision, I believe it's possible.

Life is a wonderful experience, come let us enjoy it together.
